Emma was so excited for her first day of 4th grade today! She picked out her outfit last night and couldn't sleep. Mrs. Johnson is her new teacher and Emma already loves her. She came home with so many stories about her new classmates and all the fun activities they're going to do this year.

Jack's little league season started this weekend with his first game! He played third base and got two hits. The team won 12-8 and Jack was beaming with pride. Coach Martinez said he's really improved his batting stance over the winter. Can't wait for the rest of the season!

Lily (age 6) has been saying the most hilarious things lately! Yesterday she told me that vegetables are 'just salad that hasn't grown up yet.' And this morning she asked if clouds are 'the sky's cotton candy.' Her imagination never stops amazing me!

We had an epic family game night last Friday! We played Monopoly (which took FOREVER), Uno, and ended with charades. Emma won Monopoly by buying all the railroads, Jack dominated at Uno, and Lily's charades were... creative. Sarah and I just enjoyed watching the kids have so much fun together.

The kids spent the weekend at Grandma's house and came back with so many stories! They helped in the garden, learned how to make chocolate chip cookies from scratch, and Grandma taught them how to play bridge. Emma says she wants to have a garden when she grows up, just like Grandma.
